It's your awards script you are using. There's an error in their code.
I figured that, any idea what the error is or an educated guess?
Yes, they are probably using the wrong quotation marks with the date constant value. For example, they probably have this:

Code:
define( "date", 'blah-blah-blah' );

It should be single quotes like this:

Code:
define( 'date', 'blah-blah-blah' );

Without seeing their code, I can't give you the exact answer but I am 100% sure it involves a bad usage of double versus single quotes.
A small difference but no doubt enough to stuff things up..

Damned Windows 10 though, I turned on this morning, things started loading and stopped, ended up having to hit the power button to shut down so I could try again.. I haven't figured out quite why it happens but it's always every 2 or 3 weeks it happens, I wonder if anyone else gets the same problem?
Usually indicative of something starting and getting hung up and/or using all available resources (RAM/CPU).
I thought maybe drivers or such hanging a bit, I looked and noticed I had't done a defrag for almost a week so possibly the computer was looking for necessary files a bit and that caused the problem.. I still wish XP was getting updates, I'd rather have the old XP Pro back and only using 15 GB of disc space compared to the 42 GB of Windows 10, IMO there's to much c rap on Windows 10, most of it never gets used, at least with XP Pro what was there was used..
Unless you are saving and deleting a lot of files, there's no need to defrag that often.

I prefer Windows 7 Professional. 10 is full of what's called Bloatware. I dont like it.
What's bloatware?

I like Windows 7 Pro too, I don't use it much because its on a 10 inch screen which is a bit small for my old eyes..

Had it again this morning, got updates yesterday, so did a disc clean and defrag, finally got the computer booted up on the third attempt. I've got the Windows 8.1 Pro discs here, I''m tempted to try going backwards and using 8.1 again..
Great, now JCink is down, just got the following message, I'm not sure what the time difference is, but us kiwis are on GMT +12..

Service is unavailable; we apologize for the inconvenience and are working to restore service as soon as possible! (Update 12PM EST: The issue has been identified as a line issue -- our service provider has dispatched a network tech to emergency repair. This will be conducted from 2PM-4PM (EST) and we will continue to provide updates on service restoration from that point. Thank you for bearing with us and for your continued patience.)
Windows 10 uses resources differently than the older versions. So it might look like its using more, but it does it more efficiently so it actually works better, I think. I like not having to do regular maintenance stuffs like defragging and such. Can you upgrade from your 8 version?
