Cold sounds good. We are in a heat inversion in the middle of the US. Heat index is projected to be in triple digits for the rest of the month. And 70-80% humidity, because we get the wet air from the Texas gulf coast. Gotta love the midwest in July.

I was out cutting grass this morning at 7:30 am and it was already in the mid 80's. (Fahrenheit)

My big project this week was getting rid of a poison ivy patch that I discovered in the back yard. Hazmatted myself up, and double bagged my arms, masked and goggled up and did the job. It looks like I only got a minor outbreak on my forearm from the adventure. How the stuff got through 2 bags, gloves, long sleeved shirt and subsequent vigorous scrubbing with degreaser is amazing. Those oils are so virulent.

The poison ivy in the midwest is so different from the stuff I grew up with in the east US. And not in a good way.
Heat, send it here, I'd lobe it.. :)
Ahere is everyone? It be like a morgye in here..
Poison ivy report: got as many of the roots and runners pulled up as I could. Prevention strategy was to lay down layers of wet newspaper and cardboard over the area and then shovel fill dirt on top. Hopefully, that will smother them from coming up again.

Insult to injury: now that I'm not getting poison ivy, I'm getting chigger bites. And of course, once again, I have no idea where in the yard they are camping. So I have to completely cover up, tuck my pant legs into to my socks and sleeves into my gloves to keep them from hitching a ride and making a journey to all my tender bits. Pretty crummy when your yard becomes a war zone of pestilence waiting to attack you.
Pretty slack, the server my sites on is down, the admins response to the problem is to go to bed and fix it tomorrow..
