It has been requested that we add the country of those viewing a members advertisement.
As such, I'm pleased to announce that this is now active within your NexAds Control Panel.
Simply visit your control panel and scroll down to the statistics area and you'll see something like this:
Considering this has just been added, you will not have any countries listed for countries from last month
The countries are unique, meaning you won't see 300 "United States" listed in your statistics. Rather, if more than one viewer of your advertisement is from the United States, then the word United States will be displayed only once but in the All Time row we are giving a total count of unique viewers from that country.
This will be a great tool to see the country of viewers of your advertisements. You may be surprised!
Totals for countries for all of the NexAds being displayed has been added to the bottom of the NexAds Statistics Page.
I hope this is a useful addition to your NexAds experience!
In an attempt to provide your NexAds account with increased security, we are announcing the implementation of a new feature:
Support Code
If your NexAds account requires modification of vital information, our support staff may request you to provide your personalized Support Code. This code will assist us in verifying you and your account.
Examples that may require you to provide your Support Code include:
- Delete your NexAds account
- Changing the URL of your NexAd account
- Changing the email address associated with your Contact Page
- and, any other time a Support Technician requests
Announcing the Planet Nexus 2.0 release of the NexAds system
Many thanks to our beta testers and all loyal members of Planet Nexus who have been with us through development of NexAds. We couldn't have gotten to this stage without you! We are hereby open for business. Skyon Archer has been tirelessly tuning, tweaking and continuing to innovate the system and it is humming along!
Let's take a look at some of the things that have been happening under the hood:
"Greetings, I'm your friendly NexBot!"
We have a new mascot! NexBot is now appearing in your NexAdsCP information block to provide your system health report. He will let you know at a glance if your script is correctly installed. If NexBot is green, your ads are getting out there! If there is an issue, his color will change to bright red to alert you to correct the problem. NexBot makes his rounds every day to check that your links are displaying on all our member sites.
Construction of our homepage has been completed. We think it expresses our persona, and the potential of NexAds to grow and be a real force in web promotion. It is now the landing page for https://planetnexus.net
The NexAds login page can be accessed at https://nexads.planetnexus.net
You can access the support forum by any of the URLs below. You may wish to edit your bookmarks:

A number of new information pages have been added, including our Terms, various help pages on use of the system, and more are being planned.
NexAds image ads have new image backgrounds. Our system will automatically detect the light or dark version for you according to your NexAd color choices.
Feeds for blurbs and comments have been provided. These can be accessed by link, or installed on your site and styled as you like.
Our member site thumbnails are now managed by our servers. This means these images will not experience sporadic down times. Thumbnail previews appear on your MyPage, the Sites Roster and in your NexAds control panel.
Your portable contact form has received some very strong new spam controls. This makes iit an even more valuable perk for subscribers.
We have built a new page into our support forum ACP that will help us manage the entire system more effectively. It's got some pretty nifty bells and whistles. (Archer is the king of search and sort. ) This installation has opened up some ideas to enhance our subscriber experience as well, so stay tuned.
Let us know what you think. We want your NexAds experience to be the best it can be, so your feedback is important to us!
NexAds offers forums, websites and blogs the availability to get their name and links in front of thousands that they might have otherwise never had the opportunity to do so.
Member sites of NexAds have fantastic control of what text and colors are used within their NexAds Control Panel. However, often a member may not fully understand how to create an effective advertisement. Choosing the right ad styles can mean the difference between ads your users will notice -- and click -- and ads they'll skip right over.
Colors
For most color techniques, we recommend using colors for your ad text and links that already exist on your site. For example, if the links on your site are all green and your text is black, use green links and black text in your ads as well. Since most users are accustomed to seeing blue links, you might also try using blue. In general, use common sense when choosing your ad styles. If your site's main colors are pastels, don't design ads that are all primary colors. Users won't click on ads that are visually offensive.
Tip for making your ads visible: open your page and give it a quick glance, putting yourself in the mindset of a regular user. Do the ads draw your attention, without being garish? Would you be likely to notice and read them, or do your eyes glide right past them? Try to find a balance between ads that overwhelm your content and ads that your users won't even see.
Content
Sometimes NexAds members want to convey effectively exactly what their site has to offer the end-user. Often, in doing this, the member doesn't take into consideration on how their ad will look when displayed in an ad unit and the text becomes rather large in amount of words (length). It is recommended that you limit the length of your site description to no more than 150 characters. Using too many words can actually hurt you because the text will overflow the space available on the ad!
Here are three different ads, let's compare the number of characters of each one and how they appear:
133 characters
190 characters
217 characters
The first ad image is using 133 characters in their ad text. This looks pretty good but a few more characters wouldn't hurt to remove some of the white space.
The second image is using 190 characters in their ad text. This looks really good but realize that this same text will also be displayed on different ad units, some as small as 125x125 buttons. That might be a tad too much text for such a small ad!
The third image is using 217 characters in their text. This is really too much. The text pushes the sites link completely off the ad itself. Sure it conveys the message they want, but they've lost their link being presented to the viewer.
None of the above images are right or wrong and it all matters to you, the member, to design how you want your ad to look to viewers.
Finally, on this point, too little text is even a worse situation, especially on larger ad units. Excessive amounts of background color will presented to the viewer. If you have a site with a lot of text in paragraphs, this might not be a bad thing since it will draw the readers eye, but on everyday sites, it's not a good practice.
I hope this helps you in designing your sites NexAds ad. Remember, you can always look at how ads are presented by viewing the NexAds Ad Codes page.
Note: Comments concerning the ad examples above are in no way a reflection of how I feel toward any of the sites, or their owners. The ad units themselves, solely, were the target of the comments
What is NexAds and how does it work?
Our unique links placement system allows you to get your clickable link in front of thousands of people every day!
There is NO COST, it's free to Register. Get your website, forum or blog's advertisement in rotation with other smart websites. Sign up now and your advertisement can start working for you today.
All subscriber sites constantly rotate through the Nexus Bar and the optional NexAds that you place on your site. This means that your information is constantly being exposed to all users who visit every site. NexAds is a tremendous opportunity for website administrator/owners to get their "name" out there in front of thousands of people who otherwise never would have ever heard of their site!
NexAds is compatible with all websites, forums, blogs. Basically any site in which you can install a script. Since it is a placed ad, it is not prohibited on free hosted sites like forums. NexAds is not content-based advertising like adsense, therefore it does not violate free forum host advertising rules.
Why use NexAds rather than another promotion tool?
NexAds provides a commercially competitive service, with one important difference. It is FREE. And its not a shot in the dark. You get detailed analytics that inform you of the activity generated by your ads. Our analytics are continually being refined to give you the most useful data for determining how your ads are working.
Google Adsense is a CPC (cost-per-click) advertising program that allows publishers (anyone wanting to put ads on their websites) to insert a small amount of HTML into their sites and have ads appear.
We aren't charging a dime for our services. Impressions and clicks are absolutely free. Our goal is to provide both the newest website and a long-time forum an easy way to gain incredible exposure. Say you have a blog about fishing. Your readers stumble upon this advertisement promoting worship arts resources. Now, that's not something you see everyday and they decide to click on that ad. Suddenly, a brand new, never seen before person has been presented all the glory and splendor that the new website has to offer.
Of course, there isn't any guarantee that the new visitor will become a regular user of the new website, but without the NexAds advertisement, this chance encounter never would have happened!
NexAds . . . working together equals success! We like to call it "nexworking".
