North Korea controls their press and internet. They would only let you know if they wanted you to know.
Seems everyone in modern countries are stockpiling items. A friend of mine purchased some masks from Amazon for $175 (USD). Two weeks later those same masks were over $250 (USD).
It's a shame people will take advantage of any event for monetary gain.

Happened here after the Christchurch quakes 10 years ago, petrol was being sold for over 4 times the price, as were other essential items from the supermarkets, bottled water was over 6 times the usual price seeing water supplies were cut, as you say, pity there's a few who'll gain off others pain..

Seems you've got them all, it's kind of sad to think there's people out there that are happy and willing to profit off others big time in such situations, IMO people like that should be locked up indefinitely..
I've been watching the news about your prinaries and wondering what the point of having two lots of elections for president is, I presume it's so people are better informed as to each candidates policies etc, it seems to me millions could be saved if candidates had their policies published via the media and just have the one election for president in November.. Are people that interested in all the debates, then having primary elections now, then a second election later in the year?.. I know this finds the most popular person oe people for the job, but it seems really long winded and beeping expensive..

It is a long drawn out experience.
It's supposed to be so you can reduce the pack of candidates down to the "countries" choice of just one candidate to go against the incumbent.
Really, it's time to revamp our electoral system

It used to be an amusing spectator sport for most of the year preceding the election. But in recent times, its become an ugly, years long slog between polarized factions that attack both each other and each others supporters, especially in social media. There is little escape from it unless you unplug.

At present from what I've seen it looks like it's between Sanders and Biden at present popularity wise, it is a pity that politics has become a time for personal attacks rather than a disagreement on policy and such, we get the problem here to around election time, luckily we don't get two sets of votes for a candidate or party here, just the personal attacks on the news, during debates or on the internet.. I think if I was a US citizen I'd be unplugging, it seems the news and internet is full of the elections at present and precious little else.. I think I agree, the system needs an overhaul, IMHO it's to long and a long drawn out knock down dragged out thing at present, and far to hard to understand and follow which has me wondering how many people have lost interest come November when the actual vote for a president is..
As an aside, which has more power, Senate or Congress? It seems to me there's little difference between the two, it seems more a case of two people from one state get into power when one person may be able to represent a state..

Morning.
Nice and bright this morning. Quite mild too for March. This time last year we had the ‘beast from the east’ and it was freezing.

Hmmm, it seems to me one could be dumped and save taxpayer money, having 2 congressmen per state in power is enough to see things get done IMHOI, reading that article it seems some people aren't needed, except for possibly the ones in other places kike Gam etc..
