We have the TV covered with witnesses but no real news. It's more pomp and circumstance for show.

I was watching Al Jazeera between 6 and 7,00 a.m. this morning,they had an ambassador for/to the EU on there testifying, going by what I got from what I've been seeing things don't look good for Trump, not only did he use a White House phone which has all calls recorded, he also had a number of people involved in or knew about the call to the Ukraniun President saying he'd cut aid unless they did an investigation into the Bidens, IMHO that's not a waste of money, if he wanted an investigation into the Biden's, why didn't he go the right way and ask the FBI, CIA or such? No doubt the NSA could do investigations too?

There must be sufficient evidence for Congress to have started an inquiry, I know a lot of the congress don't like Trump, but that's no reason to start an inquiry, it seems the whistleblower has made serious allegations which have been corroborated by several people to date, some at least were fairly senior staff.. IMHO it doesn't look like a waste of money thus far, not going by what I've seen and read.. Maybe Nixon wasn't guilty in the Watergate scandal?

I guess as long as the witnesses to date are being 100% truthful, then things aren't looking to rosy right now.. Methinks he doth protest to much, if he was innocent, why is he proresting so much?
As you say, time will tell, from what I've heard they want things finished by christmas, so it's not a long wait..
I'm trying to remember how many presidents have been impeached, I can only think of Nixon over Watergate and Bill Clinton over his affair with Lewinsky, is there any before Nixon?
