I swear to god, this place is getting enough spambot invasions than it already has because just there, I see four suspected ones on the Online Today bit and just there, one has left a reply in one of the threads which is just, taking the piss. I was unfortunate enough to see it and my eyes nearly bled out.

I've no idea why this is happening, and it is the sort of thing that makes me enjoy forums less. The last time I ever want to think about is them spreading to the new Nexus system. I don't know what can be done to stop this from happening again but, I just wanted to bring this up with all the staff here. Thank you.

That's the first really ugly one we've had. All the rest have just posted some advertising links.

I'll look into some additional spam guard settings we can use here. In the meantime, I've put registration on admin approval.

I'll probably leave it on until we get ready to launch the new nexus. By that point we should have some other solutions in place so that people can join and post more freely.

Fortunately I wasn't inquisitive enough to look at it, just noticed it there.. I do wonder as to why people feel the need to go round posting c rap on other folks sites, they either have a grudge or are a few shillings short of a pound..
