IMO leaving the RU was stuupid, more so as a lot of people had changed their minds about leaving, dopey Boris wasn't democratic enough to do a second referendum to see if it's still what the people wanted, I'm thinking there;s going to be trouble in the coming weeks..

Happy Brexit celebrations. :) A great victory for national sovereignty.

I wonder which EU member will be the next to leave. Sorry you guys had to go through a 3 year fight to get it done.

Thanks Helena.  :)

Yes we sure did. We fought battle after battle. Court cases, numerous attempts to thwart our decision. But they failed. Twice...the vote in 2016 and the general election in 2019..when Boris Johnson won a thumping majority.

An awesome day for democracy. Lots of sore heads this morning I should think... :D

Next country? Italy maybe...France...they're sick of Macron. Hungary as well. They have a great prime minister. The eu need us FAR more than we need them..which we dont. we dont like them,we wont miss them and we want nothing to do with them. :)

And brexit day stats...

A pity the protesting over leaving saw so much trouble and fighting, I bet if a second referendum had been done the vote would've been to stay..

RE: RANDOM comments - Helena - 02-01-2020

If that were true, there wouldn't have been such a decisive change in the parliament in December elections.

Only going by what was on the news down here, it seems the opposition parties had nothing to offer.. At present there's now a divorce bill from the EU worth over 39 billion pounds, cost of living is forecast to go up substantially and taxes will likely go up too especially as the NHS is in such a mess, IMO things aren't to rosy at all at present..

Morning.

Piddling with rain today. Very mild though. February already...the years seem to be speeding along.

Think I’ll upload some more smileys today. Can never have too many smilies. :)

Well, after getting temperature in the mid to high 30's for several weeks I'd hoped we may have been cut some slack yesterday, sadly the thermometer hit 44.3 yesterday afternoon, that;s 110 fahrenheit for those still mot on metric.. The sad thing is there's currently really harsh water restrictions on here at present, that mean no garden hoses, no filling pools or using the car wash at the local service stations, so no hiding in the garden under the hose for any of us to try and cool down a little.. No rain in the forecast for the next week either, today is supposed to be a repeat of yesterday.. :(
