I have a game section, if members were posting they could start whatever games they like, within reason of course.. Been thinking of trimming the NZ section a bit, the prisons was one I was thinking of dropping, would kind of like to keep the hobbit one, maybe just make it smaller.. Time to do some thinking.. :(

I would just have the one forum dedicated to NZ..and within that have different posts about different things...so yes keep the hobbit one and definitely the prisons and gangs. NZ has some pretty notorious ones. Plus isn't there a cemetery just for gang members? Or did I imagine that?  Then just start another one where people can ask about NZ in general..tourism, good places to eat, good beaches,hotels,that kind of thing. 

With games as I said...people tend to like word games...so things like start a new word with the last letter of the previous word, word association..and maybe something like famous film quotes..guess the film....

Been on both sites and not fussed on them, Proboards in particular, the AACP used to be a bit to confusing for this old fella.. Stuff Brandon, if he hadn't sold us out..

IF I carry on having a site I may try SMF out, I'm still deciding whether to keep a site or join a few sites, as you know, my health isn't that good, a few new problems have reared their ugly heads too, only fnished treatment for the big C a year or so ago too so things are a case of do I or don't I at present..

Morning. Nice and sunny again.May is on record as the driest May for years. Possible hosepipe ban in the summer..unless we get a monsoon..

IF you do start another site, joining other sites is vital..it promotes your own forum and likewise others can promote theirs. Affiliation is good. You post there and they post on yours. I have quite a few forums I post on and likewise they post on mine.

I did the affiliate thing once before, all I got for it was to busy to post in my own site and struggled to keep up with things in the ACP, I got the cancer the first time and stopped visiting sites, rhen started up again, I think I was on over 30 sitesa and never got one new member on my siye in over 3 years of trying, I decided after that if people want to join my site they will, I'm not busting it on 30 plus sites for nothing again..

Fair enough..but you don't need to join that many. I’m on roughly ten I think..My link is on theirs and theirs in their siggy on mine. Plus the nexus bar as well...and my forum is in the showcase on mybb. You cant expect people to post on your own site if you dont post on theirs. Only fair.

I join a site because it looks like it may beof interest to me and because I think I'll get on with the people there, IMO we shouldn't have to join other sites in order to get members that'll join mine and post, it should really be a case of join a site because you want to, not brcause you need members on yours eh.. When I was on all the sites I had to have s couple of reliable members as a mod and a co admin bevause of the lack of time I had to do things on my own site, the co admin had trouble learning all the ACP so I fot behind on things there participating in other sites in the hopes of getting new members, which didn't happen even though my sites link was in their affiliate section and in my profile and signature on every site..

It;s kind of silly playing the ýou join my site and I'll join yours'when most folk have limited online time, back when I was on all those sites I was supposed to be working, I was spending work time on other peoples sites hoping to get members for my site, I was still a head chef at the time and doing 16 hour days in a big hotels kitchen, earn $100k a year to post on peoples websites instead of work, I should've been doing silly things lik ordering stock, doing rosters, chasing up the wait staff for various reasons, getting folk in to cover for someone on leave or off sick and cooking in between tinmes if I wasn't replacing staff..

A pity Brandon sold out on us, IMO zetaboards was one of the easier sites to work on and figure out, it's a pity there's nothing out there sonilar to zetaboards..
